The Wrong Replacement Design

"Shred Libeskind Blueprints"

Deroy points out that the LMDC conducted a survey in 2002 that shows when given a choice between

1 - Libeskind's plan (currently the winning-design)
2 - THINK team's plan and
3 - NEITHER of the above...

25 % wanted Libeskind's plan
33 % wanted the twin lattice work towers by the THINK team
42 % chose NEITHER

This says that 75 % of the respondents did not want the now-winning Libeskind design.

Where is the "overwhelming public support" in 25%, which is half of the support that Neither (nothing) received?

Half of New Yorkers want the Twin Towers rebuilt.
Almost half of those polled did not want either plan offered.
Hmmm...

...Actually, Libeskind was George Pataki's choice.

Given the governor's firm control over the Port Authority's New York members and the Lower Manhattan Development Corp., his was the only vote that mattered.
